SPHERE Technology Solutions announced last week that their CISO, Michael J. Mihalik, has been named as the CISO of the Year – Private company. Hailed as the NJ Tech Council’s highest honor, the CISO of the Year Award is designed to recognize a Chief Information Officer or Chief Information Security Officer for his/her innovation and creativity in planning and deploying their enterprise systems, future IT goals, management philosophy and service to the industry and community.
Mihalik will be honored at the CIO Conference awards ceremony on Wednesday October 4th, 2017, at CIO Conference, DOW Jones, 4300 US-1, Monmouth Junction, NJ.

Mihalik, CISSP, GISF, AIC, is a cybersecurity advocate and accomplished leader, who has dedicated his career to protecting organizational assets and improving the alignment of security with the business. He has over 15 years of governance, risk and compliance experience, and is motivated by the ever-increasing cybersecurity challenges that are present today. He enjoys assisting people in adding value to their organizations by improving organization’s security posture. Mihalik has been a mentor and business adviser to many and is now SPHERE Technology Solutions’ CISO where he oversees governance, security and compliance projects.
