A “Paw-Some” Success

“Each year SPHERE works with a local charity to build awareness and try to help them in any way possible. This year was exceptional” said Bill Noonan, Senior Director. “We are so happy with the turnout from our clients, friends, families and local community. It was a fun-filled event that also raised a ton of money.” SPHERE teamed up with the Liberty Humane Society to put on the Fall Craft Beer Festival that had over 300 people attend at the Elks Lodge #74 in Hoboken.

“I cannot be any more proud of what we were able to do today. I’m a huge animal lover and being able to raise so much for the Liberty Humane Society left me speechless. We want to make this an annual event” SPHERE’s CEO Rita Gurevich exclaimed. The community poured out support with beer donations from the Hunterdon Brewing Company, 902 Brewing and Hoboken Brewing. Food was generously donated by the Hoboken Elks Lodge #74, Peace.Love.Pops., Court Street Restaurant, Vito’s Deli, Mr. Wraps, Razza Pizza Artigianale, and Rosticeria da Gigi. The event was also promoted by media sponsor, Yelp.

“This was an incredible partnership that really shows how much local businesses and non-profits can accomplish together. It was fantastic to see so many people come out in support of our community’s animals,” said Irene Borngraeber, Liberty Humane Society’s Executive Director. To add to the fun, there was also a pie baking contest that was judged by Chef Anthony Pino of Bin 14 and David Anthony’s along with Rita Gurevich from SPHERE and Irene Borngraeber from the Liberty Humane Society.
