Rita Gurevich, Founder of SPHERE Technology Solutions, delivered an inspiring entrepreneurial talk as this year’s 12th annual New Jersey Female Entrepreneur Lecturer on the evening of May 8th at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus. Her dynamic and engaging presence resonated with the high school students, parents and teachers, deans and other university personnel in attendance.
She discussed her lessons learned on her own entrepreneurial journey, after recognizing the need for providing data governance in the tech industry. She helped show the aspiring entrepreneurs in the room, the high school student winners of the New Jersey Business Idea Competition that they too could become entrepreneurs. “I was thrilled to be able to address a room full of over-achievers, their energy and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship was inspiring.” said Ms. Gurevich. Key points the youth in attendance took home with them were to, “Follow your gut, be logical, that it is worthwhile to have competition (because you can do it better!), and to follow your passion.”
“We genuinely appreciate Rita’s honesty and generosity in spending time talking with students and the FDU community.”, said Gabrielle Zuccaro, Program Administrator at the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, adding “the 45 high school students in attendance will someday be leaders in their own communities, and it is so important that they have someone like Rita Gurevich to look up to as a role model.”
Rita joins distinguished NJ Female Entrepreneur Lecturers, including Betty Manetta, Argent Associates; Kathleen DiChiara, Community FoodBank of NJ; and Ann Limberg, Bank of America New Jersey, among other notable entrepreneurs, as part of the Rothman Institute’s Female Lecture series.
