As 2017 is drawing to a close, there has been a lot of discussion around what 2018 and beyond holds for technology. SPHERE‘s Director of Architecture and Design, Rosario Mastrogiacomo, took part in a CFO Technology Economic & Financial Outlook panel discussion. Accompanying Rosario was Philip Fitzgerald, Senior Vice President at EY’s US Technology Investment Banking; William Rodgers, Chief Economist at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University and Jeffrey N. Stoller, Assistant Commissioner at the Office of Research & Information at the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Discussions ranged from the “internet of things”, to the cloud, to autonomous cars and how every industry is leveraging technology. Rosario talked specifically on the evolution of technology and how our future will be impacted “I believe in 2018 we will see an increase in accessibility of complex technologies such as Blockchain, big data and complex data analytics as the barrier to entry for such tools decreases while the knowledge of users increases.” With that being said, we are excited to see what 2018 will hold.
